Biggest peeves

Considering this is an android phone, there is no excuse for not having these functionalities:

-Google search freezes EVERY TIME. It's usually fine after the wait/force close window decides to present itself.

-Gmail app won't let you save attachments. You have to do it through gmail.com.

-Cannot remove loud DROOOIIID sound at bootup. Particularly a problem when your phone decides to reboot itself all the time.

Sounds like issues peculiar to you and your phone.
Try turning the notification sound to Silent from Droid. (Setting/Sound/Notification Ringtones)
Try MailDroid.
Google freezing? Not on mine...but I use Dolphin for a browser.

Why is the phone rebooting? By itself?
What app was installed just prior to the rebooting commencing?
Stock or rooted?
Fresh Battery?

I have a DROID pro - rebooting is just an intrinsic flaw to the phone.

Not entirely true. My wifes pro has no rebooting issues.

Also, the sound is not the notification volume, but if you download quick settings from the market you could try reducing the system volume to nothing and then reboot to see if that changes anything.
