Best Texting App

I have a Droid pro and I can't get Texting because its going to add onto my phone bill w/ the calling and data. I was thinking about getting a free Texting app off the market but I didn't know which one. So my question is what's the best free Texting app?

Most if not all of the "free texting" apps only send free texts to other people that use that app. This is because they use their own servers. So go with the one that people you'd text use.

I don't think he means a keyboard app. The Droid Pro has a non-retractable physical keyboard like a Blackberry anyways.

Google Voice is one possibility but you'd have to get your contacts to switch to using your GV number (or port if you're not under contract). GV actually supports SMS so you can SMS anyone and not just other GV users.
