I personally think Otterbox provides the best protection. I use the defender series for all my family's phones.

Otterbox on my BB was a POS. Did not protect the BB from a drop down about a five foot ledge to the rocks below; lucky for me, it was issued to me. Seidio active case on my personal X took quite a hit. Basically it was on my belt and a fall down some ledges that did in a Fobus holster, destroyed the finish on a handgun, and sent me to the hospital with a Droid X that was basically untouched by the fall. And the fall with the X was more punishing if you think about my 200 lbs body crushing against the phone while it was on the rocks as I was tumbling. And I won't even mention the few times it was bounced off floors when I dropped the phone.
So, what case will I purchase next time?

Im thinking ill get the otter box. My neighbor has one and he throws his phone at walls and its fine

I have the Otter box commuter series on mine and am liking it alot... It doesn't add alot of bulk but seems to have more than enough protection..
My only complaint would have to be is that the silicone used is a dust MAGNET...

On another note.. I like the Defender series also but not for this phone, adds way too much bulk... Heck my razr is like a LED flat screen television so why would I go back to my Zenith picture tube set...

I also have the otter box commuter which I love but wish the it had some kind of rubber gripping on the sides of the hard portion of the case. The plastic used makes it a bit slippery and kind of makes it difficult for 1 hand use.

Overall seems like a pretty solid case and keeps my razr sexy! The defender case it just huge IMO.

I'm also a fan of my Otterbox Commuter. It provides a lot of protection without too much bulk. Also it slides in an out of your pockets easily.

i would recommend otterbox commuter case with ziplock bag combo. it makes your phone both durable and waterproof. now only if we can make it user proof....
