Best GPS tracker if lost/stolen?

I've heard good things about WaveSecure, but it doesn't seem to have remote GPS-activator. Do any of that type of program have them?

Thanks for the reminder, I downloaded Mobile Defense but haven't tried it. Maybe I should see how it works before I actually need it :D

There's an app called Mobile Defense that seems pretty cool. I don't have it yet but I'm considering it.

I just replaced wave secure with it. The GPS is spot on and it even gives you the apprx address. They should be adding a backup/restore function soon too.

Somehow I got lost in the thread. What app is this alarm and text message that you talking about? Wave Secure or Mobile Defense.

I've chose Wave Secure and I'm thinking maybe I should look at Mobile Defense.

i was an early adopter of mobiledefense, then i read in these forums that wavesecure was the one to use. so i tried i out, but went back to mobiledefense. i must say mobiledefense is a lot nicer. it doesnt have the backup feature like wavesecure. but i do regular backups anyways.

Yes, so do I. I have My Backup installed. So what is the difference between the two?

I've been using LOOKOUT for a month flawlessly. It has anti-virus, backup, and lost device. It is also spot-on with the GPS tracking and can initiate a really obnoxious siren via PC to lost Droid. If you can't find it, it'll remote WIPE your Droid.

Free app. I got it from the Marketplace, but their website is http://www.mylookout.com

Well, I decided to switch to Mobile Defense to see how it was, and the tracker is SO much better than WaveSecure's. They don't have backup/wipe/restore as of yet, but the developers say that's the next step.

Reason I refused to try it...Anti-Virus is not needed.....
