I just got a new car, and would like to update my stereo system. I have a Droid 1 and want to be able to connect it via USB and also have it connect with bluetooth at the same time (in case i get a call). What are some good systems that allow me to do that, and have good music sound quality?

Depends on the features you want from the deck and your price range. Ive been doing car audio seriously for the last 2 years and was into it 4 years before that. Some wont play music from the Droid through USB, some do. There isnt one out there that allows you to control the Android like they do the iPods and such.

Basically give me a list of features and a price range and Ill find something for you.

I would like it to be no more than $150. I know you get what you pay for, but USB and a2dp bluetooth is a must. Sound quality should be good too. I was looking at maybe a sony xplod or an alpine. Or maybe jvc?

Your going to have a hard time find a headunit for $150 with bluetooth built in thats quality. You can check out the Kenwoods x494, x794, the Alpine CDE-121, JVC KDR-610, KDR-810, Pioneer 6300UB, etc.

Most headunits that have built in bluetooth still require the mic and such to work. So your going to have to spend money out of pocket for the mic and depending on the unit a whole separate in dash module.

I'm willing to spend a little extra for a good quality unit. If price were not an issue, what would you suggest?

Alpine CDA-117 with the Bluetooth KCE-400BT module or the Kenwood KDC-BT948HD with the proper bluetooth module.

When I read the title of the thread I thought the OP was asking what car had the best Bluetooth Stereo……..

Well, that would have been an interesting but impossible question to answer.

Never mind, I'll just crawl back in my moderator cave.

I recently installed a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT in my car. Its able to control my Droid 1's music library via the headunits touch screen controls or the steering wheel controls. The in call bluetooth works pretty well too.
