Begging for Help! Voicemail Retrieval

I have been a verizon customer since the mid-90s!!!!

Bill kept increasing so i switched carriers 6 days ago.

I completely forgot to save my voicemails that Ive saved for literally 10 years.

My number WAS ported to the new carrier.

I have NOT closed my verizon account yet.

Can I go back to Verizon and reactivate that phone?

Any suggestions is GREATLY appreciated!

I don't know how that would work since you ported the number..... My guess is a quick call to Verizon will yield the best results

Verizon keeps data on their servers for a minimum 6 months after a number is deactivated, just in case you should change your mind and come back. As @Miller6386 indicated, you should get results if you reach out to them.

It's not likely they kept your voicemail because once you port, your number is deactivated with the previous carrier, and your account closed with a final balance.

I've actually had Verizon home service provide me with access to my voice-mail almost a year after I ended my service with them. All the messages were still there. Believe me, if you press hard enough and are able to get the right person don't be surprised if they can do it on the cellular side.

Thank you! I assumed as much regarding the server. The issue is finding the "right" person to talk to. :)

I went to the store last night to no avail.

I'm gonna try to port # back over to Verizon and see if that will work but from another post i found last night, it didnt work :(

The messages were from my grandmother. Im very, very upset with myself. :(

I wouldn't try to port back. Just call 800-922-0204 and keep asking to speak to a supervisor. Plead your case and they may do for you what they did for me.
