Beautiful Widgets Surprise??

The LWP started to kill my system and slowed the device down. I switched to a stock LWP and it was an amazing improvement. it was like using a home replacement and going back to stock. I can't use it until it improves.

Had to uninstall. Looking forward to updates though.

Oh damn.. I got thunderstorms and lightning in my area now. And Tamas LWP is giving off lightning bolts that flash on the screen... lol. Bolts go all the way down to the grass. very nice!

Had to try it again but still bogged down the cpu. Even with different settings.

Also, anyone notice a difference in battery using BWLWP? It was great the first few days but I've noticed a significant drain on the battery now. All same apps running but when I turn off BWLWP I get much longer life using the stock LWP. I think maybe turning off "tap to update weather" might help.

Try enabling then disabling "refresh on click." He tweeted about it not long ago (today or yesterday). It's on by default, but there might be an issue with it staying on. In which case, your phone polls for weather every time you touch the home screen.

It appeared to me that the point was, mitch thought he had trouble accessing the weather icon set "none" but was actually having trouble downloading the skins.

That is not the point. Unrelated to the wallpaper, the Skins download function is not working. It no longer shows the images of each skin. It is either a bug with the application, or the server where the skins are stored has a problem.

Tama mentioned in one of the threads that his server was overwhelmed because of the increased activity due to the new release.

it takes forever to upload because my server is hammered by new users that download skins. It happens often when I release a new feature which bring new users and the LWP did.

So atm I am trying to see if my server is badly configured, or if it just sucks :icon_eek:
I have a question, when I disable the weather on the BW app I get a giant GPS widget in the place of the sun. So instead of two sun's, I have the sun from the BWLWP adna giant GPS widget that does nothing.

I had the same thing happen. If you read the info that came with the most recent update, it informs you to delete the widget from the home screen and then re-add. Should clear it up.

I had the same issue, re-adding the widget did clear it up.

BW and BW LWP

I tried looking around a bunch of places, but am I the only one whose LWP does not recognize that I have BW installed (under the settings for LWP)?

I do have both, have tried to install a few times and still nothing. Or is this supposed to be a "coming soon" feature?

Thanks

For anyone with battery problems using the BWLWP: As recommended above I turned off "tap to update". I'm surprised this is even an option due to the fact you tap the screen a zillion times a day. After turning it off and using CPU hog with 15 fps I see no ill affects to the device. Great addition to BW. Now if we could only get a good radar app we'd be in business!

The LWP is a separate install. Did you install it from the market or are you just reinstalling BW over and over?
