Beautiful Widgets Surprise??

Ok, I love supporting devs, and I did pay for Beautiful Widgets.... Now I wish I hadn't. It force closes all the time after update, and takes forev to download skins...

I originally dl'd it as a part of a torrent, I loved it and it worked flawlessly, so I paid for it....

it takes forever to upload because my server is hammered by new users that download skins. It happens often when I release a new feature which bring new users and the LWP did.

So atm I am trying to see if my server is badly configured, or if it just sucks :icon_eek:

What's cool about both BW and the forums here is the communication you can get from the devs. I see Tama-Chan popping in from time to time, gauging how things are going and taking action. This definitely has not been an app that just rested on its laurels. Little changes seem to always be occurring making things better.

I too have gotten some FC's but I'm also aware that the live wallpaper says BETA and that it cost me nothing extra. A couple of times it has actually crashed right to the default wallpaper. No big deal to put it back into play though and I know the kinks will get worked out.

This made my morning. Thanks for the chuckle! Not sure about your problem though. I am OC to only 800 but don't have a stock droid around to compare sunrise/sunset times to. Seems like sunset could be a bit earlier than it should be for me, but no big deal.

Love to know if setting back to 550 fixed it for you.

Had a co-worker yesterday show me her Droid and the grass LWP. I showed her mine with the weather and she freaked and immediately bought BW.

ok so i figured out what it was. the only logical answer was that on my wife's phone she had the "Use wireless networks" checked and i didn't. once i went into my settings and enabled "Use wireless networks" our phones are both in sync now.

as a side note: when i lowered back down to 550 it did slow down the motion of the moon.

Are there already/will there be customizable weather scenarios? Such as choosing a different sunny desktop over the stock one? I know it's picky, just asking. I like the sun and grass, but it would be cool to choose a different setting other than a sunny meadow.

Lol I can't believe this thing making people hope for bad weather just so we can see it on or phones lol!!

Is there an animation for hail? Or what about hurricane/tornado?

I wasn't wishing for bad weather, but looked on the national weather map. Not much going on across the country. I thought for sure Seattle would be good for some rain, but I just go the clouds.

gps issue

Anybody having issue with GPS location? On maps it shows within 10ft of where I am. News and weather widget shows right location as does weatherbug. But BW does not. Turn off GPS and it quickly switches to right location??? Very weird.
