Beautiful Widgets Surprise??

Did you have to call up Verizon to re-authorize your phone after your factory reset? Or was it ready to go right away?

you go through the set up again. It takes a while but no need to deal with Verizon. it calls a number by itself and runs through the process.

I backed up all my apps and data with mybackup pro and astro. Some of the apps were not recognized by MBP but astro got them all. All the data was from MBP. I also use more icons and apps organizer but they were all saved by MBP.

Again it's painful if you have a lot of customizations and things saved. Takes a long time to reinstall all that stuff.

If you just want the live wallpaper I would suggest you first delete the cache of the market, battery pull, then delete the market update of the app. before data reset. The market app update reinstalled for me after a few hours but it sure makes the market slow for a while. There is no way to force update the market app. I ended up battery pulling again after this and it worked much better.

Thanks for the info!

LWP update just released, more settings.
Low CPU mode setting REALLLY helped cut down the lag. i can actually slide through my screens on Dxtop now with the LWP applied without wanting to punch a wall.

i'm currently calibrating my Battery Left widget though so i can't test if this update helped the battery problem at all. i know the initial release was a real battery hog. so if anyone tests it out let us know about battery life.

I'm using the old Beautiful Widgets - I hate the new one. So I'm not changing anything.

I know alot of ppl did this when it first changed bc they liked the look of the old one.

After a few updates, he added the ability to change the skins so now you can add the skin back from the original one and still have all the new features. Just FYI. :icon_ banana:

It's now showing up in the market.
I was having issues seeing it and now its available. Looks good.. lags a bit... but clouds look nice.. will run it through the course of the day.. to watch the changes. Thanks, Tama.

It finally showed up in the Market this morning. What a let down! Why would I want to see two suns on my home page. The waving grass is a direct knock off of the Grass live wall paper. I hope it improves with future updates. I would love to see an ocean scene with changing weather and no redundant sun or moon. I love Beautiful Widgets, and I expected better.

You can hide the widget weather icons by installing the "none" weather icon pack.

Sometimes you have to do for yourself in order to make things the way you like them. It's not always handed to you on a platter.

I agree with some of the previous posts. I think the Beautiful LWP will be good in time - it's just a beta now, right?

A better looking LWP as a background would be great, and an "aware" BW that manages icon display when using the BLW would make sense.

For me, I'll stick with the stock LWP and the BW weather widget for now. That combo looks awesome.

I know its just a Beta, but my goodness this thing slows down my Droid. Its a great concept, but will probably not use it too much until it is further refined to decrease the drain on the system itself.

I agree with a previous poster. Would be better if you could replace the grass with a beach or lake scene at the bottom that 'reflects' the sun/moon/clouds in nice weather, gets rough during storms, and freezes over in the winter. You're such a good developer that I'm sure this is already in the works.

I just wish it wasn't such a resource hog. I have a stock Droid running LauncherPro and the thing gets hot to the touch on the backside within 30 minutes of having the LWP running.

Also, for those who would want to have this on top of their own backgrounds, would it be possible to have this (just the sun/moon/clouds animations... not the sky or grass) run as a skin to a 'naked' BW? I think that would be awesome if you could.

Really good suggestions, yeah my experience is the same with a lot of lwp. This and that sexy nexus lwp take so much memory, not to mention all the stock lwps. I generally try to stay away from lwp.
But I'm sure tama will make this a lot better.

For those complaining about the grass, there is an option to disable it to lessen CPU usage. To me it looks naked without it.

I had a lot of FC issues this morning, but I just installed the update, so hopefully I'll see an improvement. I like this a lot.
