Beautiful Widgets Surprise??

At first it was not working for me either. I tried everything. I then just chaned the color on the text save and apply then it started working.....weird.

Im sorry and mean no disrespect to anyone but i dont see whats the big deal about the live wallpaper of this? I see the sun and the swaying grass but I dont see whats the big deal. I guess im not much of a live wallpaper person.

PS: I found it on the market by just searching levelup and it was the 5th one on the list.

I have a rooted droid and it works for me....but like another poster stated already...I have 2 partly cloudy suns.....one in the LWP and the other one in the Beautiful Widget

all we need is a blank weather skin and it will worl like a charm!!!

what i did was allow the temp to be posted in the notification bar and i trashed the the widget. no more 2 suns. lol

Does the weather still sync correctly?

@ntrddragn: I don't think anyone thinks this is nuclear fusion amazing, but we're all geeks and just think it's cool. Same way some of us might think Neko cat is cool, etc.

The LWP Weather concept is very cool. The implementation leaves something to be desired. The whole thing looks very cartoon like.
I am using the Silhouette LWP which is georgeous and now changes color/light with the time of day. If the Weather LWP were more like that, I'd pay an extra couple of bucks for it in a NY Minute.

For now, I will stick with Silhouette and Beautiful Widget in fully transparent mode.

Again, a very very cool idea.

This IS the beta release...Haha! Tama never disappoints. I'm sure great things will come from this. I'm a BIG fan of bw and a fan of touiteur, and both have changed a LOT since I purchased them. I agree, it's a bit cartoony, but at least this is a lwp with an actual usefulness, so I'm rocking it for a while.

On a side note, it's finally cloudy here. Gotta agree that clouds look a LOT better than the sun.

Personally, I kind of prefer a more stylized or cartoony look. Ultimately, I think my preference would be for it to look more as if you are looking up into the sky at a greater angle as opposed to having the grass waving back and forth below.

Well, just when I thought it was just so so, I have noticed the sun is setting on my screen. It's below the widget now and it was in the widget earlier.

I like the LWP and beautiful widgets is always great, one of the best couple bucks spent. However is anyone else have the sun go down and the moon up at 4pm when the widget still displays proper?
This is why the "surprise" took so long to come out because they wanted to make the app as close to perfect as possible. They know us fanboys always have something to complain about;p Imagine if they rushed the beta out a month ago when they said the "surprise" was coming, i think the forums woulda crashed ;p
No worries though BW is always updated and I've never had a bug so I'm sure they are working on this hard.

I really wish we could disable the grass and add in some high-resolution sky backgrounds. It looks a bit too cartoonish for me...

the only problem i've had is its showing the sun set at 2 pm. it doesnt get dark until 9.

Wow this LWP really slowed down my phone. It was good all today up until about a half hour ago and my "system" kept foreclosing on me. Hopefully this is just a fluke, cause I think its an awesome LWP an would love to put it back but it made the once lightning fast home Launcher Pro into, well as slow as my omnia use to be. Hopefully he updates it soon, which im sure he will and as beautiful widgets is, it will an amazing piece of software.

Working good for me now. Factory reset was the best thing I ever did. It was painful but my phone is running much snappier and BW LWP is neat. Not great but I'm sure there will be improvements because the Dev is top notch.

Did you have to call up Verizon to re-authorize your phone after your factory reset? Or was it ready to go right away?
