Beautiful Widgets Surprise??

It is pretty cool...I think it is a great idea to improve upon some of the stock Google LWPs.

Maybe Level-up can improve the music LWPs. I would pay for a music LWP that allows you to change colors or wave response or both.

Some features that would be cool with the weather wall paper:

- ability to make it Permanently night: Speaking of night...I wonder if there will be a star field?

-Ability to remove grass

Just updated BW, and am trying to add LW. When I click on "download LW from the market" in configuration, the market comes up but can't find the link...any ideas?

I'm having the same problem as LT I updated BW but can't find the wallpaper anywhere on the market. I've gone to BW and looked in More Applications and its not there, I've tried searching for it, and I've tried going there from the settings in BW its self. It doesn't seem to be in the market at all.

Just another ask of whether anyone is having issues with geolocation not working or not updating the weather at all?

I actually really like it, especially the clouds, they look real. The only thing I don't like, and others have mentioned it also, is how bright it is. It doesn't fit with the theme and whatnot of my phone. If I could overlay it on any wallpaper (hopefully a static wallpaper) I'd be VERY happy. The bright blue is just too much for me. The grass is a little :/ also.

But that is just personal preference, the wallpaper appears to be made VERY well. Hopefully Tama & Friend (lol) can fix the issue that some people are having.

I was having the same issue with the wallpaper not talking to BW - this fixed it for me:


go into Beautuful Widgets settings (tap on the BW weather icon, hit the menu button and select "Configure") after you have the wallpaper installed and on your screen, scroll down to the bottom, and click on "Save and Apply"

When you exit out, it should be correctly showing the weather on the LWP.

Nope - still not working. Everytime i go into LW and click settings - it wants me to "Unlock" it to connect to BW - and if you click on that i takes you to the Market. It is not recognizing i have BW bought and paid for.

That "unlock" buttom will never change. The communication between BW and the LWP is automatic. Once you refresh the weather in BW (automatically or manually) it will activate.

Thats not true for me. It has been showing rain on my BW for over an hour now. LW still showing sunny grass. I have forced the update weather several times. Changed Update time to lowest possible, i always apply and save.... nothing working. The LW wont show what BW is showing.

EDIT: Lol - it just NOW changed. Now when i change locations it changes too. Weird it took so long for it to catch up - but appears to work now. Go figure.

I agree! an overlay for either any LWP or regular WP would be perfect as I would match our current themes...pretty cool though Gonna change the city to somewhere where it's dark to see how it looks

Now that it's working i notice something else that may be of value to those overclocked. I also run SeePU - and it shows how my CPU is running as a bar graph. With this LW running - it stays at above 90% speed/activity. With other LW's it fluctuates up and down occasionally but rarely runs above 90% (Bar Graph turns red above 90%).

So if others are running this and are overclocked you may risk over heating. I am NOT saying this will happen - i will keep testing - but it def does keep your CPU running at or close to its fastest speed most of the time. I am overclocked with Pete's BB 1.0 1mhz so it is staying at 900-1,000mhz most of time. Others fluctuate between 250 and 750 - hardly ever gets into the other range.

I do LOVE this LW with current weather. That is too cool. This guy really makes some good stuff.

I'm having the same problem as a couple other people have. Can't find it on the market when it tries to download. Can't find it manually either.

Is there anybody using this on the incredible? If so the settings tell us that it will update on touching the screen. Does not seem to work.

Maybe now a good option for beautiful home would be the clock with the date, temperature, but no weather image? Since we'll be having it animated in the background.

That fix the dude posted above fixed the sync issue for me. Latest Cyanogen on Droid.

my fix for this was downloading a weather skin, opening it up in paint.net (or photoshop or gimp... whatever's easier), erasing the picture, leaving me with a blank "picture" and using that as my weather background. works well

Awesome! only problem I have is now I have two suns on my screen. One from the live wallpaper and another from the BW. Is there a way to turn off the weather of BW while we have the Beautiful live wallpaper running?

It doesn't work on the Droid so if you are getting it to work please designate what device you are using.

I'm sending a "Blank Weather" to Tama so he can add it to the Skins list.
