Nope. He has said that the surprise requires 2.1 and that it will come as a separate app in the market. Neither of these apply to the weather icons.

Which is a good thing, it means we still have a surprise coming, the weather icons were just a bonus!

C'mon guys... 2.1 is a minimum, it'll be available as a separate entity in the Market...

Pretty obvious on what its going to be... Just hope it doesn't slow down my Droid too much while using it...

Looked on the market and did not see a new app by Levelup. I could have missed it. I am very curious as to what the new app will be.

As far as I know, they're still working on it. But you just have to keep in mind that they do have to maintain the other apps too so it may take time for it to come out

Agreed! I see in the market that n1 users with 2.2 are having issues with touiteur, so I'm sure he'll want to fix the apps he's already got released before sending out another app that will need support.

With that said, I haven't seen anything else from him about the surprise via Twitter.

Since Froyo is already out to some devs, he'll probably be bug checking it with that also that might delay it but as long as it's quality I don't mind!
