Battery Usage not resetting

A weird issue came up over the weekend. I charged my phone and when turned it on the next morning, the battery usage stats had not reset. Tried searching for help but keep getting the results for extending battery life. All I want are the stats to reset so I know what's using the batt, etc. There are some tools out there for rooted phones that will reset the usage, but I'd just like it to do what it did before. Anyone know a fix?

You could wipe the battery stats. Also you could do a data wipe

I reset the battery stats with a battery calibration app. This did reset the battery stats but they still won't reset themselves. I also tried a data wipe on the boot recovery menu.

Then the only option is buying a new battery

Yeah, it's the battery. I tried another one and everything is fine.
