Battery Pull = Time Reset to Epoch

I pulled the battery out of my fiancee's Moto Droid the other day and upon re-install the OS had reset the time to the Epoch, 12/31/1969. I flipped it back to network time an didn't think much more of it. Last night she dropped her Droid and the battery popped out, once again when the battery was re-installed time was reset back to 0. Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be a bug? Everything else on the phone works great.

Yeah i would deff call tech support on that one. Most likely they will switch the unit out.
