Battery life

So i just purchased the droid eris. Loving it except the battery doesn't last long. any suggestions?

First let me :welcome: you to the Droid Forums. There are all kinds of suggestions to have a longer battery life. Lower the brightness, turn wifi off, turn gps off, turn blue tooth off.

Wait a minute - We just about turned off the phone didn't we.;)

This is a very high tech phone and if you look at your battery usage (settings/about phone/battery use) you will see that display is the #1 battery hog. And I'm guessing you're playing with it a lot because it's new? So at this point you might be getting a day's worth if you're lucky. Maybe less.

I've come to the conclusion that the battery just needs to be charged daily. If you need to, get a spare and another charger. You can try all the things I listed above, but quite honestly the only ones I use are no blue tooth and no wifi, and my understanding is if they aren't available the phone doesn't use it anyway.

Just kind of how it is. Short battery span but great phone.

Don't use an automated task killer, don't use antivirus, uninstall any widgets or other programs that run on startup if you can live without them.
