Battery done?

So was doing the whole interwebs thing on the phone and didnt watch the battery it gets down to the red and a few minutes later after a watching a video it goes dead. I plug it in, it turns on and reads CHARGED on my lock screen. I feel the phone it starts to get really hot I pull the plug and it turns off again. This is already my second battery.

No the phone did not get wet

I didnt drop it or anything so I have no idea why this is happening...

If you drained the battery it's going to take some time for it to charge. How ling was it before you unplugged it?
