battery died for first time after 2.2 won't revive

so this is the first time my battery has died since i updated to 2.2, i plugged it in to charge it for about 10min. then powered it on. All was well and it booted up like normal, then it suddenly shut off, rebooted, flashed the motorola logo and died. It hasn't come back on since, i tried pulling the battery but that didn't change anything.

help please.

He said 10 minutes, I'd put it on there for at least 2 hours or fully charged and try it again.

it booted up about 30min. ago, i just let it sit charging since i posted this. Not exactly a good feeling though, I'll be avoiding letting this thing die out completely now.
