Backup questions (among others)

So I've had my Droid X for 2 weeks. A few days ago, I tried installing a backup program before the new update, and it sent my phone into a bootloop that made me have to request a new one. Well, Verizon sent me a "certified like-new replacement", and the touch screen on it is all whacked out. So another is on the way. But, I plan on trying to get them to send a new one, because I'm tired of the shenanigans of refurbished ones.

Anyhow, I'm pretty tired of setting up my home screen, widgets, and reinstalling everything, not to mention the settings of the phone itself and every program. Is there a way to back them all up and just toss them on another phone? That would be amazing.

Mostly unrelated, I really like the HTC clock/weather widget, and put it on my X in the form of Fancy Widgets. Is there a better version or way to do it than that (besides ROMs)? Also, the lock screen that shows the time and date, is there a way to make that look like the HTC clock?

Thanks for your help in advance. There's so many little tweaks I want to do, and so much of the information is outdated or not for the X. Hard to find a nice consolidated place.

There are alot of ways to make backups and then restore them on a different phone. All of the ones that come to mind are for rooted phones.

I have both of those, didn't know appbrain kept that record though. That's awesome.

I have TB pro, but will it back up everything...the phone settings and widgets and stuff? Or just program settings?

TB will back up everything but I have had problems (when switching ROMS) with it trying to install apps. When in appbrain go to sync my apps then at the stop it shound have an option for you to add your gmail.

Yeah it's synced up with Gmail, I just thought it would do what the regular market did and lose it's cache or something.

So as long as I'm not switching between any kind of ROMs or whatever, TB should back up everything I have the way I have it?

When you read the TB app it says this

The ONLY tool that can backup, restore, freeze your apps + data + Market links! Even protected apps! 0-click Batch/scheduled backups! PRO version has 0-click batch restores, Dropbox sync, Dalvik cleaner & MORE!

When it says data it should backup all of your settings my settings are backed up when I restore it. I have only used a restore when a rom doesnt work and I flash back what ever I was using before.
