Backup Asistant not backing up

I setup my backup asistant and it says it's backing up 88 items but when I look online at my google account it only shows that I've sync'd the 8 members of my contacts that have email adresses asociated with them. Is there a way to get all of my contacts to sync with my google account?

Export them to your SD Card. Go to contacts, hit menu hard key, settings, then export to SD. Backup Assistant is crap.

Backup Assistant and Google contacts are 2 separate systems. One is from google, the other is Verizon. and they usually dont play nice together.
