Auto flash/ focus

Why does the auto flash, as well as focus, create such terrible images. Its like the display and the lens are mis-calibrated. Any apps that allow for manual focus? That would solve one of the problems.

ice , was asking same thing, using flash yields horrible pics. Responses I got were the small lens and the camera is not indoor flash friendly, and won't yield good quality pics. Apparently camera needs alot of light , so we both may want to stick to outdoor pics when we want good quality.
