Attaching on gmail using Astro file manager

I have android 2.2 on my htc incredible. I am trying to use the share function on astro to attach a file to gmail but it never works. Before sending, gmail shows that there is an attachment but after I click send, the attachment never shows up in the received message. If I use the native gallery to browse to the file, the share option will work.

Anyone know what may be going on?
