Apps Restore

I had to have my phone replaced. Its been overnight and some of my apps still are not showing up. Does anyone know if it takes a while to get the apps back or should I just go download them again?

Not all automatically get saved. Like from my experience, free apps you'll have to search out again and some paid you have to re-download, not re-pay tho...

My understanding is............ free apps you will have to search for and re-download. Your purchased apps are saved through your google account so once you sync with your google account your paid apps will be put back on your phone.

Astro and Titanium Backup can backup your apps to your sd card. Titanium Backup does a better job because it also backs up useer data and settings in the apps, and it can also backup apps that show as "private" under Astro's Backup.

The weird thing is that some free apps automatically re-download, but the others don't. I think the main problem is remembering all the free apps you had downloaded and searching them all out again.

Here is what I've noticed, and also heard someone else confirm it as well. Is when your data gets wiped, or you get another phone or whatever and you have to sign back into your Google account, if you wait and DON'T open the Market application, it should sync all or close to all of your apps. Paid and free. So after your data is wiped, don't open the Market and see how many of your apps get restored.
