Apps Organizer

Apps Organizer v1.4.1.1 Application for Android | Tools

Came across this yesterday and started fiddling around with it. 2 of my 5 screens contained folders with multiple apps inside. Read somewhere that Apps Organizer is supposed to register as 1 app on the homescreen instead of a folder with multiple apps (guess it deals with the way the OS recognizes the folders/apps in folder) Anyway once I installed Apps Organizer and set up my folders thru this app (which also allows for custom icons instead of the folder icon) my Droid made a definitive increase in performance.

Just wanted to point this out to anyone who might use this app. It was a great find for me!

App organizer is great, I have been using since just after release!! Really lets you keep a nice, organized uncluttered desktop. Nice way to prevent the cluttered iphone look.

Can somebody please tell me how to get main menu for this app. out of status bar??

I have apps organizer but it does not appear in my notification bar nor can I locate any setting that would permit or deny a notification.

It is an awesome app and saves quite a bit of space on my screens.

+1 for Apps Organizer. I've been using it for several months.

My only gripe is that the icons they have doesn't have some basic ones. For example, If I wanted to put all communications in one, I'd like to have a phone icon, or something like that. Ditto for a shopping icon, or maybe dining. I see several for games, why not drop one and add something else. Yes, I can make an icon, but I just thought they should cover some basics more.

I've not thought about it or tried but I wonder if you could use BetterCut to make your own custom icons for this app?

My fault, it was folder organizer light that was showing up in my status bar. I didn't even know I had it! I fixed it. Thanks for the responses though!!

I've been using Apps Organizer since the end of November and love it. You can change the icons on Apps Organizer. Go into the program, go to "Labels" then long press the one you want to change. You'll get several options: Rename, Delete, Change icon, Select apps, Add to home. Obviously you'll want to select Change Icon. I'm using two that were just pictures I randomly took from my Droid camera. For the one labeled "Tools", I have a picture of two co-workers - get it....they're tools. Ok, bad humor but that's why I selected them for the Tools folder.

Thanks. Really cool now I can have more fun!
I did a drocap2 screenshot for another thread with live wallpapers. I did change out the "Tools" one and the "Internet" one is there because I'm originally from Canada. These are two custom Apps Organizer icons....Tools is a personal picture and the "Internet" one was from using a wallpaper from BD.

Wow, Folder Organizer is awesome. I wish I'd gotten this before I paid for BetterCut. Import / Export looks like it will make things a lot easier if I end up doing another nandroid install and lose the desktop.

AutoAppOrganizer is the very best app/folder organizer in the market for droids. I'm on my third droid and this is one that is a must. I organize every app into folders which I able able to name myself. Then anytime I download a new app it places the new app inside a newbies folder and a window pops up allowing me to add it to one of my existing folders. I can add it to multiple folders which many other organizers do not allow you to do. It's definitely a 10 out of 10!
