Making folders

I currently use Apps Organizer to make folders of my frequently used apps. I've been using it since before droid had a folders feature (I think). However, it seems that the folders feature now does (almost) everything I need it to do without using Apps Organizer (which occasionally has bugs and I think runs it's "folders" as widgets, potentially slowing down my phone).

But I can't figure out how to assign a custom icon to application folders once made (instead of simply displaying the icon for the first app). There seem to be other apps that allow me to make folders with icons, but I think that just puts me back in the same boat as using Apps Organizer. Can I add icons (preferably the same custom graphics I made for use with Apps Organizer) to my stock droid folders? I'm running 4.1.2

Thanks!
