Apps not loading

Ever since my froyo update on my droid, when I press the key to bring up my apps they're not there. It just shows a black screen with the home key at the bottom. I updated to 2.2.1 last night and it worked for a little bit but now its doing it again. I've restarted it several times and it doesn't help.

Try doing a battery pull. If that does not work you may need to do a factory reset.

I've done lots of battery pulls. I don't wanna have to do a factory reset. But looks like my only option.
