When I check my apps and look at what's running there is always a huge list running and I have to go and force close them all. The problem is my battery dies quick.....I can't see how all those apps running is nessacary. Is there a way I can shut them off all at once?

Don't worry about it... those apps aren't hurting your battery at all. Android manages memory perfectly fine without killing applacations or force closing them
Check battery usage to find out if a specific app is using a lot of battery. Like a widget or something else.

What Jeff said is true....+1

For a better understanding of what is going on "behind the scenes" in Android concerning "running apps and memory/battery performance" and "task/app killing", click the first Linked Item below in my signature. This is a very well written breakdown of how Android handles running apps, memory and what happens when you or an app killer app starts going in and killing apps...(basically = Bad for the battery)
