Application to stop duplicate sms received

Hi guys.
I have Cricket, which is awful service.
Everytime someone texts me, I get enournous duplicates. Ive gotten 100+ duplicates of two messages within 20 minutes. (it's not a sms bomb.. Its just bad service).

So, is there an app to make it so duplicate messages dont get received?
Ive tried anti sms bomber. That app only stops instant duplicates.

Please help.. It's been this way for weeks.. Thanks

I understand that.. That's why I'm asking for an app to just not give me duplicates.

Are you using a sms app (like go or handscent)? If so you have to turn off notification in the stock messenger.

My girlfriend has Cricket as well, and we both tend to get multiples of each other's texts. Suuuuuper annoying, especially with blank texts.

It's soo freaking annoying.
I've gotten 148 duplicates of two messages in the past hour now. I have one bar service where I live which explains it.
There's gotta be an app to block duplicate messages

That has nothing to do with this issue at all.. Please read.

I did read and all it says is that you are getting duplicate texts. I was asking if you were using a text app. Unless I'm missing something, it seemed like a relevant question.

A text application works off the default messaging system. It wouldn't matter. Your soluton was to simply disable notifications.
Which all in all my initial topic was to seek an application to stop this issue. I already know what causes it if you would read. Therefore; irrelivant.

I'm not trying to be rude, just saying.

You are being rude bro. I was just trying to help. I must have misread your post. I was getting duplicate messages for a while and it was because I had the notification turned on the stock messenger and go sms. Once I turned off notification in stock messenger, it solved the issue. All the best to you though
