Apple & Samsung Could be Close to Ending Patent War Fight

A new report from Reuters confirms that an end might be near for the patent war between Apple and Samsung. Both companies have agreed to meet for a mediation session which will be held on or before February 19. They two tech titans are scheduled to duke things out with some of the final appeals process in March over their phone patent disagreements, but if this mediation goes well, they may just reach a settlement first. Here's a quote with some of the details,

Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon will attend the session with in-house lawyers only, according to a Wednesday court filing. Their legal teams had met on January 6 to "discuss settlement opportunities," the filing read.

They both started to realize that this will never end, and it is a complete waste of time money and energy, they will both cross license their tech and get on with business as usual. It's a win win for both corporations.
