Apple Music Beta Receives Widget Support!

Now Apple Music can do something that only an Android can do. It can now be displayed in the form of a widget. The Apple Music Beta app has been updated with a widget. The widget allows you to pause, play, and skip tracks directly from your homescreen. The update also includes a heart button for quick and easy likes.

Other new features inlcude add songs from apple music to a playlist without having to add to a library, redeem giftcards in settings, see whats on Beats 1 directly from the Radio tab, go directly to an album by taping the name of a currently playing song in Now Playing, and view most popular songs on albums in the Music catalog.

I thought Apple was not too fond of widgets. Guess they are finally realizing they need to adapt.
