Usb OTG stands for Usb On The Go. OTG cables allow you to convert your mini usb port to a full fledged usb port. You need special software to really use the otg to its fullest. Developer "Versatile1" has developed an app that will allow you to use a usb drive through the usb otg. The app detect the usb storage device that is connected, There are a fewbugs that have been discovered. This is note currently working right with CM file manager. Agreed. I've been using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paragon.mounter to mount my NTFS flash drives on my devices for the past couple of years.

That's a good point. I should ask Vers if his app does, as it doesn't specify one way or the other.
