Anyone have the 3-pack screen protector from Verizon?

I got the Zagg one and messed up installing it and had to toss it (which sucks). They were having a 50% off day so I bought another one and have a while of trying to get it lined up right it ended up having pieces of crap on it (I think pieces of the sponge they include). They wouldn't come off... so yet another protector wasted.

Sucks but I'm gonna have to stop after over $20 of protectors. I might try the VZW ones at some point but I'm sure they aren't very good. I have a Zagg on my iPod and it's be superb, guess my foolish hands just couldn't handle the installation of it this time.

IMO, do not mess with the Zagg ones unless you are very patient and skilled.. You have to wet them to put them on and then line them up perfectly... and if you touch the zagg ones, you have a permanent fingerprint on your screen protector. Another thing, the Zaggs claim to be "invisable" yet the one I had tried on my droid was clear but had kind of a weird texture to it... Oh, and you have to repeat the wet application process for all 14, 15, 16? different pieces it came with

I just bought 2 packs of the Verizon ones and went at it... No they are not perfect, but after applying and re-applying 5 of them, i now have one on that looks great and has zero bubbles.

Yeah, ask the Verizon guys to do it for you if you buy your Droid in a store.

I had to trim the top right corner off of my protector to get it to fit right. I hate that the thing is the exact size of the screen, leaving no room for error for my enormous man hands. If you get it at the slightest angle the opposite corner is going to hang off the phone. Bane of my existence.

Hahaha...this is exactly why I had my wife do it. Works better with little hands, I think!!!

Mine is applied perfectly, with no bubbles. Gotta love it.

Wouldn't cutting the top and right corner cause the spaces to be offset which are supposed to be clear for the sensors? (Just curious)

My experience with them , and possibly what they are talking about, is that the Verizon ones are squared-off corners where as the droid has more rounded corners, thus causing the screen protectors to overlap at the corners rather then sit flush, so if you trim them they fit better

I have them, got two installed completely dust and bubble free but it took a few tries to get the edges lined up right. My handy installation tip is: Scotch Tape and patience.

If it isn't perfect the first time, there will start to be more and more bubbles and dust that get between the screen and protector on each subsequent try. There may even be some on the first try. To get it to adhere perfectly, I recommend having a piece of scotch tape handy and another piece on the bottom edge where you hold it. Lay it down slowly and it you see any lint or bubbles that can't be forced out, peel back a bit and use the tape to pull the dust off of the protector or screen. Adjust as necessary to get the edges lined up. When you get to the bottom, peel off the tape on the edge you were holding and let go.

It sounds like a huge PITA, but if you're as OCD as I am about screen appearance, the end result is worth it. (I actually like the vzw protectors because they are glossy and feel perfectly slick while some other screen protectors I've tried have a very slightly tacky or rubbery feel. I may try something new when it's time to replace them though.)

Verizon told me that each protector should last about 3 months. How long has yours been on?

in november when i got thee phone

I got the 3 pack when I first got the phone. Hated them, could not get a good one put on and just used it until I was able to get a Zagg invisibleSHIELD put on instead. Best $20 ($15 for the cover and $5 for installation) I spent yet. My wife lucked out and got a full body cover for only $25 since they were only suppose to do the screen, but they forgot and started doing a body when we showed back up later to pick up the phone.

Now all I need to get her is a Pink Case for her Droid and I believe she will be happy. I'm also looking for good cases, any ideas? ( I know I need to check out the case thread :))

Run the shower in a bathroom for a bit and apply the protector in there. There's no dust in the air in a humid bathroom.

I went through all three without getting it to look decent. If there is the tiniest piece of fiber on the screen or stuck to the protector it will form a bubble big enough to be distracting. Same for hand oil. You must need to apply this things with tweezers or something...

You have to get the screen very, very clean first, and then you have to only handle the protector from the edges and tabs.

i remember from having the lg voyager that the zagg invisishield loses a bit of sensitivity to the screen. its also sticky. can some correct me if im mistaken. thanks!

I have the 3 pak from vzw and the first one went on just perfectly..I really cant even tell its on the screen. I hope you find you solution or have already.
