anyone else try a jb rom, and go back to an ics because of the lack of features?

yeah i finally got jb roms to boot lol. i tried bugless beast, aokp, cm10 etc.

bugless beast made my phone totally touch responsive as far as speed. i also noticed the touch accuracy was much better with this one..

anyway, i went back to an ics rom because there's like no features on the jb roms lol. the akop has a couple, but still hardly any. i also had issues with apps not working right on jb.

Nope. I still have my backup of aokp36, but can't go back it to. It's just not smooth enough anymore.

What features you looking for?

Try JBSourcery Public Beta... i think we got a good amount of features ported over already

When the leaked versions of JellyBean came out, yes. I almost immediately went back to ICS due to lack of features. But once some AOSP ROMs started to hit with a couple features I really like, I have stuck with JB. There are a few things I am missing that were available in ICS ROMs, which I imagine will be coming any time now.

Bonus feature to JellyBean is making a good buddy of mine, who owns an HTC EVO LTE, jealous. His device doesn't have fully functional JB ROMs quite yet, so it is fun times when I chat with him.

I am pretty happy with how they are coming along now that they are AOSP, it was slow at first though. The one thing that makes me stick with JB would be the expandable notifications, I love those, on top of the smoothness of course.

Yeah - I am on the fence too.

I had a hell of a time getting past the drivers to unlook/root, got to pulling the trigger and then went out-of-town -- no time to futz. In the mean time, I've been thinking that my NGex in it's stock state is just perfect. Fast, 100% stable, the extended battery lasts more than a day, and every app I need (not a lot) works perfectly.

So why would I leave this?

I am curious about JB. I'd love to explore Google Now and the smoothness of JB is a main draw.

But, if I go to JB and have to start dealing with FC's, apps not working right and unpredictable battery, I'd be unhappy with that.

So, on the fence I sit.

it's not just the lack of features (i'm running aokp m6 right now, which of course has a TON of features), it's also the fact that some of my paid apps wouldn't work right with jb.

once jb roms get some features, and apps are compatible, i'll definitely switch to it.

in response to a post above, i tried jb sourcery, nice rom, but still lacks 95% of the ics features i like lol

Beauty of Android and ROMing. There's a different setup for everybody. There are definitely more ROMs to come from different devs, just gotta wait a little longer.

i have that on my phone right now. thought i'd tried it before, but i was wrong. now, how do you get that zombie apocalypese theme to work? lol it downloaded automaticaly when the phone booted.

also, the add ons and 1.3 update don't seem to work-at least the phone info setting doesn't show 1.3. after flash and boot up, it still shows version 1.

thanks. nice work, cool jb rom for us feature junkies lol
