Anyone else experience photo deletions with the 2.1 update?

I got the OTA update last night and I lost some precious pics of my daughter, including one I had set a a picture frame widget on one of my screens. kind of disappointed.

I haven't lost any that I know, but I did notice that I took a picture, went to the gallery and the pic was not there. I was like wtf!! Went back to the camera, seen the pic in preview, looked at it, went back to the gallery and it was there.

Checkout SDrescan in the market. Helps when you know something is there, but the gallery is not showing it.

Perfect. Been looking for something like this since I updated to the v2.1 gallery since it seems to take forever to update folders with captured or edited photos. This will come in handy. Thanks!

I hope this never happens to me. Does anyone know if there is a way to auto sync all images to a private picasa gallery?

the missing photos have mysteriously and magically reappeared.

I just found an app called SDrescan you may want to check out. The 2.1 gallery seems to pick and choose when it shows pictures that you recently taken, edited or sometimes just cause. This app forces it to scan them all again and helps.

thats because thats the 2.0 gallery. remove it from your folder or screen and pull out the gallery from the (supposed to be drawer but just normal pull down app area)

I didn't lose any pictures... pictures i hid... (porn) is now visible again... oh well serves me right for having porn on the phone.

Found New Gallery..

Ok, I found the new gallery however, I have lost my recent pics that I took. Most of them I did upload to both FB and my computer! Thank you for the tip of removing the old gallery and bringing in the new one.
