Any way to just touch screen to bring up unlock screen?

It is getting annoying to have to hit the home or power buttons to bring up the unlock screen... Is there any widget, app, or setting that will allow me to bring up the unlock screen just by touching the screen?

you can bypass the lock screen with an app but i dont think u can do this

and annoying? are you being a little petty? an app like that would use up SOOO much battery

Yeah for real, put it in your pocket and it'd be on all day, good post by Fun4lo. Also, I mean what's the difference in hitting home and the screen, unless you're drunk as heck or something.
