Any News on the Verizon Wireless Regulatory Fee?

Just wondering if anyone knows for sure if the regulatory fee was imposed. Also, has anyone used this to call and get out of their contract or get some nice perks for staying?

I haven't heard anything in days. Thanks.

If $0.03 per month is too much to handle, and you're threatening to disconnect over it Verizon will just credit you the $0.03 per month until the end of contract. After all, its cheaper for the company to credit you the difference then the ETF.

Then you will look like a cheap bastard.

The end.

^^I seen your post in the other thread..We are just asking if anyone has gotten out of their contract over this. You are entitled to your opinion for sure.

I agree this is his opinion, however I can also confirm that when I worked for VZW and a similar thing happened, we were instructed to credit the amount back to the customer, and that's what generally happened on escalated calls to the supervisor. Very few got that get out of jail free card.

Wow dude...you seem to be pretty angry over someone asking a simple question. Just relax.

I am not that concerned over 3 or 4 pennies. There has just been a lot of talk online about being able to get out of your contract over this fee since it may be seen as materially adverse or something of that nature, which would allow someone to cancel their contract without an early termination fee. I was just wondering if someone had done that or had tried and what the outcome was.

I am working on it right now. I have gone 4 tiers of customer service and am now waiting for the center director to call me back. I have wondered the same if anyone has actually gotten out of it, no real results yet. I have phone numbers for the center manager, Rick, and the center director, CJ, if anyone is interested. I figure we could flood their inbox with voicemail and get them to respond just to get us off their backs.
I will update as things progress.
