Okay, noticed that Titanium did not successfully back up last night, so clicked around in the settings, don't remember everything but it sticks that I clicked on optimize apps/ remove .... Not much help from Titanium web site.
Whatever, clicked 'reboot device' in titanium.
now get instead of lock screen "Android upgrading.... Optimizing app (app xx of 116)" then "Android upgrading.... starting apps". This never changes.
Tried getting into Triage, when successful, can only get the sick Android, (vol + - pressed together yield nothing)
Looks like it's bricked, thinking I need to rsd, but would like any suggestions to try before that.
