Any chance of blowing the speaker with volume @ max?

Even with the default ringtones it seems very very loud. My old blackberry speaker wasn't nearly this loud and blew in the first week. Don't want to make the mistake on a vastly superior phone.

I listen to music and videos at max volume quite often and have not noticed any degradation of the speakers.

Yeah I highly doubt maxing the volume would blow the speakers. I'm sure that Motorola kept that in mind when creating everything...I would *say*

Moto cells are (or at least were) known for having the best speakerphones so I would expect the speaker to be able to handle the volume. But then it's not like Moto hasn't let us down before on this device by using cheap/inferior parts (most noticeably with the headphone jack).
