annoying volume popup

Whenever I change the volume on my DROID (RAZR maxx ics) the volume bar shows up for a few seconds. It's very annoying especially when watching videos. Anyone know how to get rid of the obnoxious popup?

You cant get rid of it, just pause your video for 3 seconds.
