Android Nougat Unveiling Video

Just as we reported yesterday, Google announced the final name of the next iteration of Android. Nougat was the ultimate choice, and it has been very polarizing amongst Android fans. Regardless of whether you love it, hate it, or shrug your shoulders, it's what we have until the next version.

As always, to commemorate the event, those fun loving Googlers held an unveiling event for the Android 7.0 Nougat statue in front of Google HQ. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.

Agree. Even though I like the name, the statue is confusing and ugly.

I noticed that in that video Nutella was not even name dropped, so I'm thinking with Nutella being a brand it didn't stand a chance. Im guessing Nutella won but they went with the next closest name so they can avoid paying Nutella. But come next year I'm thinking Nabisco will be waiting for Google. If they try and say there is another better recognized treat than Oreo than I'm going to have to call Google out on that one.

And they probably don't pay very much. It's a pretty reciprocal relationship. In fact, I'd bet it was more beneficial to the Kit Kat company then it was to Google.
The Nutella people must just be iPhone fans.
