Android Market Down Again?

Is this a common thing for the android market? Able to look at the market, and start download. Then poof....nothing. Everything stops within seconds and nothing downloads. I live in the bay area. I read a post from the Jan. 27th and it seemed to effect other people as well in different areas. Just wondering if this going to be an ongoing issue with the market. Maybe there's an update or something. Any clues.

Happened to me in ohio on 3g but worked on wifi

I'm just throwing this out there, but I'm guessing 1 of 2 things.

1.) Verizon is losing 3G because of all the snow/ice/wind.

Or

2.) The market is being updated to the new version, which was rumored to be released today/tomorrow (feb 2)

Well whatever they r doing I hope they work it out. Android market is now working again after a couple of hours. Thx for the input
