Is there a thread or link to a list of all the core apps and such found in the Android operating system that someone could point me too? (That explain it in symple terms a noob can digest.

I'm new, very first personal phone & smartphone. I'm real curious what all these things I see running are such as "touchwiz" etc.
In searching I didn't find much. Most web pages or info on the android OS are way over my head at this point. :shocked:
