Android 6.0.1 Brings Security Patch and A Few New Features!

As promised Google is getting pretty serious about security on Android. After some major bugs (ie Stagefright) Google decided they would put out monthly updates to patch any security holes that may be present in Android. We have an all new version of Android 6.0.1! This new build does include security patches, but it also adds a few new features to marshmallow.

The big feature is the all new emoji package. There are more than 200 new emoji including animals, food, clothes, and more. Other new features include double tap power to launch the camera on Nexus 5/6/7/and 9, some tweaks to the Do Not Disturb mode (until next alarm allow you to mute your phone until your alarm goes off which keeps you from forgetting to turn sound back on), band 12 support for the Nexus 5x and 6P, and bug fixes. You can find full changelogs below.

Just flashed it a few hours ago on my Nexus 6. I haven't had much time to play with it yet.

Do not disturb change and band 12 support for new phones are solid updates

I've had no issues with wifi on my 6P. Definitely not disconnecting and reconnecting like my Note 4 was good for.

As for emojis, I do use them from time to time to be funny. If I can't think of anything clever to say, I'll just toss the most random emojis I can find in there. If they add too many more though, it's going to be a pain to find one you're looking for.

I also wish Tapatalk supported them. I was surprised to see @pc747's emoji post show up on the web version here. I just figured the forum didn't support them.

. .

I didn't know Tapatalk didn't like emojis.
I stand corrected. Wth? I swear I've tried to use them before and they didn't show up, but here's PC's post.

It makes way more sense that they'd work, but I could've sworn they didn't.

Apparently it has SOME support, but not ALL? Are there more than 3 emoji in my previous post? I did a string of them, but only 3 show up in Tapatalk for me.

EDIT: Hmmm... I just edited the previous post that was only showing a few emoji in webview. Here's what I put & you can see what actually showed up above.
