Android 2.2.1

Well, looks like Nexus One got an update to Android 2.2.1 last week. Anyone know if the Droid line is going to get this minor update, or is this simply just fixes for Nexus One.

Android 2.2.1 hits the Nexus One, manually install it now – Android and Me

Details on the changes are limited at this point, but it has been reported that it patches the vulnerability that allows Universal Androot to work. Several users with alternative keyboards have reported some issues, but a simple reinstall of the keyboard app appears to resolve all problems.

There's a good chance Verizon and Motorola will push out another update just to plug that hole, though, so keep an eye out.

I have been hearing about the moto ota update through rumors for weeks. I hope it is soon.
