An App that prevents your phone form placing unintented calls

I just found an app called Call Confirm that forces your phone to display a confirmation screen before it places a call. This way if your phone attempts to randomly, unintentionally or you accidentally place a call, a screen will appear that prompts you to press Ok or Cancel before it dails a number. The app also, has a bypass when using Bluetooth features (which is under Preference, the button presented when you open up the app), which bypasses the Call confirmation screen when you're doing Bluetooth hands free calling. And hopefully your phone is doing Bluetooth call confirmation, which was not the case with my Droid 2.2 update, so I had to get an app for that, which is Choice Dialer. It's ashame that we have to download all these apps just to get our phones to function properly:icon_ nono2:

Yeah i have it too,it gets annoying sometimes because it takes sometimes up to 5 sec for the "confirm" screen to come up =/

i use google voice and have it prompt me everytime i make a call whether or not to use google voice

How does it prevent accidental confirmations? I mean, if pocket or butt dialing is an issue then how does this app prevent the confirmation button from being hit as well?

You can't please everyone. I have no need for such an app and I'd find its inclusion as stock to be an extreme annoyance. I'm sure many others that don't accidentally dial would as well.

Consider that you can customize your device exactly to your liking whereas you're stuck with what you get on many other devices.

If you have a phone with proximity sensor, you can confirm the call by move the phone on your ear!! ;-)
