While some of the features they keep adding to the Amazon Echo may be only mildly useful, the fact that Amazon keeps piling on more features to an already large variety of capabilities is what really stands out. The latest example is that you can now order an Uber Ride using "Alexa."

Once you have added Amazon Alexa under the "Skills" tab of your Uber app (and setup your address), you can then simply make any of several requests and the Echo will automatically order you an Uber driver. The possible phrases include, "get me an Uber," "request me a ride," and "call me a ride," amongst other options.

Interestingly, you can even ask the Echo to keep tabs on your Uber ride by asking, "Alexa, how far away is my Uber?" Impressive!
