ALL texts suddenly gone?

I went to text someone and noticed that ALL my texts were gone. All my pictures, favorites, apps etc are still on the phone but i lost all texts from every contact. a couple texts were locked and those are still gone? what happened? will they come back? Droid Incredible

happened to me on my droid 2.2. I had wavesecure installed though so i just backed up all my texts from their sever

so you're not the only one it happened to before....
