!! ALERT !! Android Malware!

After doing some random searches, I found a few articles about an android virus/trojan and it being able to exploit all pre gingerbread roms. :icon_evil:

Apparently its a little nasty program, follow this link for more info and good old XDA has a patch to fix the exploit. Hopefully this was post was helpful! Im not sure if someone already posted it but I figured it was important enough.

The good news is, this is not a virus, it is a trojan. The difference is very critical. A virus can spread on its own while a trojan requires the user to activate it. But this does show that Google should now consider better user education of what permissions mean and at least basic scanning of APKs being uploaded to their market.
