Alarm clock and lollipop lg4 priority 's silent issues

Alarm clock extreme has an option to play alarm in silent mode but on lollipop it doesn't work but yet it plays alarm in priority mode even if Notification not set to priority for the app in settings and adding it to priority mode didn't change the behavior. Can apps put themselves in priority mode but not show that in settings. Also I have an app that prevents accidental volume changes or locks the buttons and the app works in silent mode but not priority or all mode If anybody has explanations fixes or more info I would like to learn more
