On my wife's Droid X (still on 2.1) she keeps getting ads that pop up urging her to "Win a free iPad" with some image . . . how to carve a pumkin, an ascii art Darth Vader, etc. Annoying, but doesn't appear to be dangerous.
Any ideas where it came from and (more importantly) how to get rid of it? She has a pretty stock phone, but this appeared after buying and installing the smashing pumkins app from the app store. (Which I have on my 2.2 X, where it works flawlessly.)
