Activitating $15 data plan

Hey I'm just wondering how this works on an Android-powered phone. My concern, if I activate by dialing, that the $30 data plan will automatically be included. I only need the $15. Is it best to do it online, and is there an option that will allow this? Or am I best off having it done at a Verizon retailer? I would tell them I only want the $15 plan, as I can already see Verizon having the $30 plan set up by default.

honestly the best way is to call CS but dont call from that phone use a land line or another cell...
